Launch details
TechRadar reports that the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X20+ launched in July 2024 at £299 in the UK and €399 in Belgium, and that it is not sold directly in the US. Galaxus says it cost about 400 Swiss francs at launch and now sells for under 300 francs or euros. The robot has 6,000 Pa of suction, a 5,200 mAh battery, LiDAR navigation and two spinning mops (180 rpm) that lift 7 mm on carpet. Its dock empties the bin into a 2.5 L bag, holds 4 L of clean and 4 L of dirty water, and washes and dries the mops with hot air. It sits at the entry level of Xiaomi's robot vacuum range.
What reviewers agree on
- Value: TechRadar says it offers features usually found on much pricier models, and Galaxus calls it solid for the price.
- Self-cleaning dock: automatic emptying, mop washing and hot-air drying cut down on daily chores.
- Navigation: TechRadar finds its LiDAR navigation reliable, and Galaxus praises its route-finding once set up.
- Big dock: TechRadar and Stuff both warn that the base station is large and may not suit small homes.
- Hair on the brush: Stuff and Galaxus found long hair wraps around the brush and needs removing by hand.

Verdict
The X20+ is one of the cheapest ways to get a fully self-cleaning vacuum-and-mop robot, and it suits tidy homes with mostly hard floors and room for its dock. Homes with thick carpet, many cables on the floor or a lot of long hair may be better served by a pricier model with stronger obstacle detection.
